Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s Bail Plea Rejected, Judicial Custody Extended till June 19.

After the complete failure of the Political campaign, “Jail ka Jawab Vote se”, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s legal troubles have escalated as a Delhi court rejected his plea for bail extension, resulting in his continued custody until June 19th. The Judge had a deaf ear to his appeal for bail, and chances of getting bail in near future seems remote.

Court Proceedings:

The special CBI judge extended Arvind Kejriwal’s judicial custody till June 19th in the Delhi liquor policy scam case. This decision comes as a setback for the Delhi Chief Minister. Furthermore, the Delhi High Court dismissed his interim bail application, which sought bail for seven days on medical grounds. Kejriwal had argued that he was busy campaigning for the ongoing Lok Sabha elections during his interim bail period, as per the Supreme Court’s directions, and couldn’t focus on his medical health. However, the enforcement directorate strongly opposed this plea, stating that Kejriwal was able to campaign extensively during the elections but fell sick when it was time to return to jail. Considering the submissions made by both parties, the special CBI judge dismissed the bail application.

Diagnostic Tests:

The court has directed the jail authorities to conduct diagnostic tests for Arvind Kejriwal. This aligns with Kejriwal’s claims that his health is deteriorating while in jail. However, the details of the specific tests and when they will be carried out are yet to be disclosed. The court’s order regarding this matter is still awaited.

The Delhi Chief Minister’s Narrative of “Clean Politician” has failed miserably. Not only the people of Delhi and Punjab, but also the Judges, have rejected his appeal. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) filed a chargesheet against Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in a money laundering case linked to the Delhi excise policy case, Arvind Kejriwal’s problems are getting worse since his bail request was turned down. In addition, the court has told the jail staff to do medical tests on Kejriwal because he is worried that his health is getting worse. We are still waiting for the full order that spells out the court’s orders and the exact tests that need to be done. June 7th is when Kejriwal’s request for default bail in the alleged Liquor policy scam case is set to be heard.
