During their tenure, resources were squandered like water flowing unchecked in the Shesh Mahal. When they departed, they left Delhi yearning for something as basic as clean drinking water. This is a stark reflection of the mismanagement and misplaced priorities of those in power.
Mahatma Gandhi once said that the principle of trusteeship is that government funds are held in trust for the people by their representatives, not as their personal wealth. Yet these leaders behaved like owners, building glass palaces for themselves while the people of Delhi struggled to access clean water.
Today, Delhi faces a grave crisis of clean drinking water. The city is overrun by water and tanker mafias, forcing its residents, especially children, to consume contaminated water. This has led to a rise in diseases, affecting the health of the people. If this isn’t a disaster caused by the current administration, then what is?
Adding to this, Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently addressed BJP workers in a powerful audio message. His message not only inspired party workers but also shed light on the pressing issues Delhi faces under the current administration. PM Modi emphasized that the people of Delhi have been let down by the ruling party, which he referred to as the “AAP-Da” disaster. He stated, “The AAP government’s arrogance and mismanagement have turned Delhi into a city of unfulfilled promises and neglected citizens.”
The Vision for Clean Water and Better Governance
PM Modi reminded BJP workers that the party has successfully provided clean drinking water to people in remote areas like the mountains of Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Jammu and Kashmir, and even the deserts of Rajasthan and Kutch. He urged them to take this message to every household in Delhi, ensuring that people understand the BJP’s commitment to solving the water crisis.
“I assure the people of Delhi,” PM Modi said in his audio message, “that once the BJP comes to power, we will launch a mega campaign to provide clean water to every household. This is not just a promise; it is a mission for us. We will not rest until every home in Delhi has access to pure drinking water.”
Failures in Health Services and the Ayushman Bharat Yojana
The crisis doesn’t stop at water. Delhi’s healthcare system has been left in shambles under the current administration. PM Modi highlighted the refusal of the Delhi government to implement the Ayushman Bharat Yojana, a scheme that provides free treatment up to ₹5 lakh for the poor and elderly.
“This scheme is a lifeline for millions,” Modi said. “Imagine a child from Delhi needing advanced care in a hospital in Tamil Nadu. With an Ayushman card, that treatment would be free. But the AAP government, driven by arrogance and ego, has denied this opportunity to the people of Delhi. Why are they stopping such a beneficial program? This is not governance; it is sheer negligence.”
PM Modi also recalled the heartbreaking images from the COVID-19 pandemic when residents of Purvanchal—people from Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Uttarakhand, and Rajasthan—who had served Delhi for decades, were forced to flee overnight. “They were pushed out of the city they helped build,” he said. “The venom in the hearts of those responsible for this is something no Delhiite will forget.”
The ‘AAP-Da’ Warning
PM Modi didn’t shy away from calling out the “AAP-Da” disaster, a term he coined to reflect the misgovernance and corruption under the AAP-led administration. He urged BJP workers to expose the failures of the AAP government, from their mishandling of the water crisis to the destruction of Delhi’s health services.
“AAP-Da is not just a warning but a reality,” PM Modi said. “It stands for the disaster that the AAP government has unleashed upon Delhi. Their arrogance, corruption, and indifference have hurt the common people the most.”
Call to Action for BJP Workers
PM Modi’s message also included a roadmap for BJP workers to prepare for the upcoming elections. He urged them to focus their energy on reaching every voter. “Form teams of 10, 15, or 20 workers at every polling booth. Assign two workers to each group to take responsibility for 10 families. Over the next 10-15 days, build deep connections with these families. Understand their problems and assure them that the BJP is here to solve them.”
He emphasized the importance of grassroots efforts and encouraged workers to distribute responsibilities effectively. “When people see that you genuinely care about their concerns, they will place their trust in you,” he said.
A Vision for a Better Delhi
The BJP’s vision for Delhi, as outlined by PM Modi, is one of inclusivity, development, and efficient governance. The party has pledged to not only solve the water crisis but also restore trust in governance by prioritizing health, infrastructure, and public welfare.
“Our mission is clear,” PM Modi concluded. “We will transform Delhi into a city that every Indian can be proud of. But this requires your commitment and hard work. Together, we can bring about the change Delhi so desperately needs.”
The audio message from PM Modi serves as a rallying cry for BJP workers and a stark warning for the AAP government. It highlights the failures of the current administration while presenting a clear vision for a brighter future under BJP leadership. With the promise of clean water, better healthcare, and effective governance, the BJP aims to win the trust of Delhi’s residents and steer the city toward progress and prosperity.
